Information we collect

Usage data. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — pages visited, approximate location, browser and device type, and referring site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

Account data. If you create an account, we store your email address and any profile details you provide. Authentication is handled by Supabase.

Correspondence. If you email us, we keep that message and your address so we can respond.

We do not collect payment information, and we do not sell personal information.

  • To authenticate you and maintain your account, if you create one
  • To respond when you contact us

Cookies

We use cookies for analytics and, if you sign in, to keep you signed in. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though sign-in will not persist.

Third parties

We share data with service providers who help us run the site: Google Analytics (analytics), Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Cloudflare (image storage), and Mapbox (maps). Each processes data under its own privacy policy.

Your choices

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing privacy@whereat.io. If you have an account, you can also delete it at any time, which removes your profile data.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. We honor those requests regardless of location.

Data retention

Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' default retention settings. Account data is kept until you delete your account.

Children

WhereAt covers venues that serve alcohol and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

We'll update this page if our practices change, and revise the date above when we do.
